Description:
Ryanodex® is a fast-acting formulation of dantrolene sodium, indicated for the emergency treatment of malignant hyperthermia (MH)—a rare, life-threatening hypermetabolic reaction triggered by certain anesthetic agents and neuromuscular blocking drugs. Ryanodex® is formulated for rapid reconstitution and administration, enabling quick intervention during MH crises.

Clinical Use:
Ryanodex® is used in:

• Emergency treatment of malignant hyperthermia during or after general anesthesia

• Prevention of malignant hyperthermia in susceptible individuals when undergoing surgery

• May be considered for off-label use in neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) at clinician discretion

• Monitor for potential muscle weakness and respiratory depression

• Not intended for chronic use

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dantrolene
